Agnete Brinch is an artist whose aim is to materialise presence. Through her interpretation of both past and present, she creates authentic works. Impressions are expressed and visualised as modern portrait abstractions.

With her portrait series WOMEN WHO CHANGE THE WORLD, Agnete Brinch has achieved both national and international recognition.

The portraits are Agnete Brinch’s commentaries on historical and living women, all of whom have made a significant contribution in their desire to make the world a better place. The series supports the UN’s fifth of seventeen Sustainable Development Goals: universal rights and opportunities for women and girls. By supporting women and girls, she supports all people, and she supports all seventeen goals.

Agnete Brinch interprets women in a series of works: she creates a quiet scene. The works speak to both your emotions and senses, beyond time and place.

Outside the frame, infinity; within the frame, a calm stillness where the women step onto the stage. The work creates a space and a leap in time that lets the eye rest, enjoy—and fall in love!

In addition to women who change the world, Agnete is inspired by her own daughters, mothers and sisters—and by historical artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Johannes Vermeer, Berthe Morisot, Edgar Degas, Elisabeth Jerichau Baumann, Vilhelm Hammershøi and many other artists.

Recipient of Varde Municipality’s Cultural Award 2022 and nominated for ProVarde’s “New Business Name 2023”.
