The art project collaboration between the Danish Artists’ Association and the South Jutland Roadside Churches is based on my art project "Creation". The figurative is at the centre. Over the years, I have worked in a circular process based on sketches and works that explore motif, method, and the sustaining force in the repetition of motifs and figures. I continue my long-standing focus on the human being as a shaping, acting, and transformative figure, placed within a new context and narrative. ART IN ROADSIDE CHURCHES brings together the artists of the Danish Artists’ Association in Southern and South Jutland around a shared project: a site-specific exhibition distributed across roadside churches in the region. Roadside churches are open and welcome visitors outside of church services. The aim is to raise awareness of the roadside churches and contemporary art. With this project, the potential of the church space is activated as a meeting place between tradition and the present.
