NO Trespassing – Portrait Abstraction

In Agnete Brinch’s works, one often sees abstract portraits with branches on the head, words across the face, or symbols that signal hopelessness, hope, closedness, or strength.

She works deliberately with contrasts—especially between light and dark. The darkness creates the drama, while the light highlights the person.

Agnete has developed a new concept, which she calls portrait abstractivism. Her idea is to create dramatic narratives that resonate with the theme of her universe.
